Mayumi sat in the black bird as Kurt, Jean, and Scott all pilled up and sat in their in-signed seats, Logan flying the Black Bird and the professor next to him, the whole plane silent and tiered.
Logan pressed a large red button as the door began to shut, Kurt sitting next to Mayumi while Jean and Scott sat together, the professor sitting up in the passengers seat next to Logan.
"You know, Tabitha and I vonce got in huge trouble for sneaking out in ze middle of the night to go to zah carnival together, and my punishment was to clean the inside and out of zis thing." Kurt laughed as Mayumi just sat their uninterested, a small silence in return.
"So, Dallas, I hear they have really cool ice cream, maybe I can take you sometime, if you want that is. Vhat are you doing tomorrow night?" Kurt asked as Mayumi rolled her eyes. "Staying away from you." She suggested as she unbuckled and sat in the far back on her own, kurts mouth dropping as he watched her walk away, the plane starting up.
Kitty looked at hum sadly and smile. "Wow, you like her. I mean, you REALLY like her." Kurt sighed depressingly as he watched her put on her head phones and listen to music, Kitty now sitting in silence, realizing that she made things a little worse.
After five long hours, they finally arrived in Dallas, Mayumi walking down the stairs and yawning. "Hey Mayumi, vait up." Kurt said and ran up to her and tried to keep her pace, Mayumi letting out a long sigh.
"What?" She stated as he tried to calm her. "Please, vait." He said as she stopped and faced him, her arms crossed.
"Listen Mayumi, I know your sister left, but ve'll find her, and I promise you every zing is going to be okay, but only if you let me help you." he said as she let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Why should I let you help me, Kurt?" She stated angrily as he put his hand on her shoulder. "Because I'm your friend, and friends don't let each other hurt alone." He said as her shoulders fell and her eyes narrowed.
"Kurt... I'm sorry." She apologized as her head fell in silence, Kurt looking at her sadly and smiled with a plan. "You know, the search doesn't start until tomorrow, vanna go for some ice cream?" He asked as she lifted her head up and looked at him with two dark brown eyes, her long brown waving in the wind.
1hour later
Mayumi and Kurt walked down the side walked and under the street lights, both of them laughing and having a good time. "Wow! I cant believe that man stuck three hot dogs in his mouth and swallowed with out chewing. That was amazing!" Mayumi said and laughed as Kurt smiled back.
"Yeah, and I didn't think zat lady vould actually eat zah fire!" He said as they walked down the street laughing. "So, vhat vas it like vhen you realized you vhere a mutant! I mean, you sort of found out when the TMK tried to kill you. You must have been scared." He said as she put a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Actually, my sister and I both found our powers when we where little kids and camping in a forest near our home. A bear tried to kill me and Toru kicked some Bear butt. After we found that we where mutants, we never talked or even used them again. We where to afraid of what are parents would think, and just two weeks ago they find out and well... They called the TMK. Guess they weren't too thrilled, huh?"
She said and shrugged, a fake smile on her face and Kurt looking at her sadly. "Your parents?" He said and looked away, Mayumi turning around and smiling.
"Kurt, its fine. Now I know what they really thought about me. But now that I have you, your my Family, you all are, even Logan... he's Like a very scary older brother." She said as Kurt laughed.
"Vhat vhere you thinking vhen you told him off, vhere you scared?" He asked as they walked together, Mayumi smiling. "Not really, I wasn't even thinking about it . I didn't think of anything but me. I was mad and i took it out on Logan, and now that I realized what I've done... He terrifies me!" She said as he laughed, the two of them passing an ally way and three men coming out and fallowing them.
"Kurt..." She said as he grabbed her hand pulled her closer to him, to hide her from the men. "I know, just keep walking." He said as they turned a corner, bumping into two other men.
"Hey there gorgeous, where ya goen?" one of the men teased as Kurt pulled her behind him, the men circling them and trash talking the two of them. "How about you come and hang out with some real men?" They came closer as Kurt kept Mayumi near the wall, the men laughing.
"Please, leave us alone." Kurt asked politely as one of them frowned at him. "Get out of the way pip squeak!" The man said as he grabbed him by the shirt and threw him into the street, a car quickly coming at him.
"KURT!" She yelled as the men grabbed her and watched as the teenage boy sat up and closed his eyes tightly, waiting for pain, and waiting for death, the only sounds to be made was the sound of a crash, yet... nothing...
Kurt slowly opened his eyes and saw Toru standing above him, her hand on the car and electricity flying from her hand, a huge dent in the car, every body staring.
"Toru..." Mayumi whispered as the men let her go, Mayumi falling to her knees and her face blank. Toru let go of the car and stood silently, and turned her head slowly, glairing at the group of men, there faces slowly turning white.
"Lets get out of here man!" - "Yeah, she's a freak!" The men yelled and began to run in separate directions. Mayumi looked at her sister and went pale her self, a smile crossing Torus face and the screen fading into black.
