Saff stood outside of the familiar house. The door was open and dubstep was playing loud enough that she could feel vibrations in her chest. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. Too late now.
The door was wide open and people were walking in and out, there was a pile of coats at the bottom of the stairs, Saff ditched hers and walked out into the kitchen, why had she come here? There were plenty of people she recognised from college, some by name, some by face but none by personality. Except from Ash. He was on the opposite side of the room, watching her, he took a mouthful of his beer and nodded, she replied with the same and then some girl stood in front of him, putting her hands all over his chest and stuff. Saff rolled her eyes and jumped when someone’s hands came down on her shoulders, a little too hard,
“i didn’t think you’d show up” Stefan said, stepping in front of her, she brought her eyebrows down slightly,
“are you drunk?” he laughed and shook his head,
“nope, i’m just happy” she cocked her head,
“why? Did you get lucky?” when the words came out of her mouth, she knew it was unfair. He sighed, the smile being replaced with a softhearted curve,
“don’t tell me you’re one of those girls who has all boys down as manipulative narcissistic man whore’s are you?” she raised her brows just a little,
“i’m shocked you know the meaning of those words” Stefan chuckled a little and Saff looked over his shoulder. The girl stumbled and fell into Ash, he caught her, smiling but he kept a hold of her arms. Stefan followed her gaze to Ash then looked back at her,
“are you okay?” her brown eyes snapped back to meet his,
“nothing happened.” She said bluntly, he shook his head,
“i know. He told me” she looked at the floor,
“how come he can tell you but not everyone else?” Stefan laughed again,
“lad’s got a reputation to hold” Saff looked up and gave him a cold glare,
“well i didn’t want any kind of reputation” he rolled his eyes and put his beer bottle down,
“come upstairs” she made an ‘o’ with her lips and laughed in disbelief,
“what? So people can think something happened with us as well? No” he shook his head,
“look around you,” he outstretched his arm and moved it slowly around the kitchen, displaying a normal house party, “everyone here is already off their heads or on someone, no one will know” he was right. They stood in silence for a moment before Saff sighed and rolled her eyes,
“fine” he smiled a little and stepped past her, out of the kitchen door, leading the way up the stairs. Saff followed reluctantly.
