I woke up at 7:30 and traipsed down to the livingroom where Phil and Becca were sitting Watching some silly TV show, I grabbed my shoes and a jacket being already clothed mind and Grabbed some money before walking out the door It had started snowing again so I chucked my hood over My head wrapping my arms around myself for warmth
"Fuck, it's shut" Sighing at the closed sign on the shop
"Great went out for nothing" i thought to myself, Looking over to the park covered in sparkling white, Noticing a shivering lump slumped down on the bench
"What the fuck? They must be properly freezing" Walking towards whoever this was i could see their warm breath In the freezing air I stopped a bit away from them
"Uh, Hey! Aren't you cold?" No response, Edging a little closer I asked again
"Hello? I said, Aren't you cold?" they noddded tucking a whisp of hair behind her ear
"How long have you been out here?" Asking curiously, the girl i'm assuming, seemed friendly enough So i stood over her
"No idea really, why are you caring?" Yep a girl, She had a soft voice, rosie pink cheecks and lips curving at the edges slightly A thin face and a thin curved body, she looked like she hadn't eaten in a while. I smirked a little at her response to me
"Just curious"
She ducked her head a little when a few pieces of snow hit her nose
"Look i'm not letting you freeze out here now, you seem friendly enough so.. why don't you come back to my flat with me? My flatmate and his girlfriend are back there and it's getting dark"
She looked up her beanie slipping of a little from her Dark red hair fading from needing dyed again
"Why do you care if i freeze, you don't know me and i'm only trouble"
"I doubt it, look if you don't walk with me i'm going to carry you, your choice" She smirked a little at this she turned to face me fully I noticed a silver Nose ring curving round her left nostril, it suited her
"Even if i wanted to, my legs are practically numb"
"So, look's like i'm carrying you doesn't it and uh, i never got your name?" scooping her up she put her hands around my neck involuntary
"I never gave you it that's why" smiling and holding tight as i began to walk
"It's Devon. How about yourself huh?" Looking at me, she had lovely round green eyes and thick lashes complimenting her
"Dan, my flatmate's called Phil and his girlfriends called Becca"
"Dan.. That's a nice name, is it short for something?"
"Yeah, Daniel uhm and thank's" she burrowed her head into the dip of my neck keeping her face warm, she was very pretty, even in the Dim light, we were halfway home now walking in silence for about 10 minutes
"Dan" Devon said
"Do you have a girlfriend then? Considering how nice you are you must have one"
The corners of my lips turned up at this
"Yeah but things aren't going so well, I don't think we're going to last much longer really"
"Oh, i'm sorry"
"It's fine just arguments I guess, anyway we're here i think the doors open"
"I can walk okay now i think, you can put me down"
she started wriggling to get out of my grasp before i put her down gently
"You sure"
"Yeah and Dan, Thank you so much not alot of people are as nice as you are you're really lovely"
"It's fine, I didn't want to leave you there and you don't seem like trouble"
"I'm serious though, Thank you"
