Walking back into the living room, Dan grabbed me, "I need to ask you a favour," he said, his voice barely audible due to the fact he was whispering and Pete and Mike were watching TV.
"Yeah what is it?" what is it with these people and asking me favours today?!
"Well you know how his birthday is in 3days?" he said indicating to me that he was talking about Pete with a nod in his direction. "Do you think you could book the hall downstairs? I'll get people to decorate and a DJ or band or something."
"Yeah I'm sure I can manage that, did yous decide on a theme yet?"
"Em I think Patrick said something about legends, like Elvis, Brian May, people like that."
"Ok cool, I'll phone down just now and book the hall for the before we leave." He nodded, indicating that he understood and left the suite.
"You know I wish Hero was here..." Mike said channel hopping.
"Aw you miss her already?" I asked sitting in-between him and Pete, resting my head on Pete's shoulder.
"Yeah... that and she gives me an excuse to watch cartoons," he says smiling.
"It's never stopped you before!"
"Yeah but we don't usually have company..." he said looking over the top of my head to Pete and receiving a loud snore.
"I don't think we have to worry about him waking up anytime soon, he's out for the count..." Mike put on some random cartoon channel; I think it was Scooby Doo that was on. I looked up at this the sleeping form beside me, his breaths consistent and his arm slowly tightening around me, his girlfriend would be here tomorrow, I was being made to go out early and buy a test.
"Rumer don't get involved." Mike said not taking his eyes of the screen.
"What do you mean Mikey?"
"I mean don't get involved in anything with Pete, he's not right for you, he'll just drag you down with him."
"Who are you to decide who's right for me and who's not?!"
"I'm just trying to protect you..."
"Protect me?! Ha that's rich! Where when you when - when..."
"I know I'm and I'm really honestly sorry Rumer, that 's the one thing in my life I wish I could go back and change, make everything ok for you, like it never happened."
"Yeah well you can't Mike -"
"I know..."
"Well drop it then, I know you and everyone else just want to protect me but I'm a big girl now, I can handle things by myself, I have to make mistakes and learn from them, I'm not going to do anything with Pete..."
"Make sure you don't."
"You know what, screw this, I don't need a lecture that'll I'll probably be getting from Adie again anyway, you want me I'll be on my laptop in my room, excuse me." I unwrapped Pete's arm from around my shoulder and left the room, hearing Mike sigh in frustration, I don't know where he gets off thinking he knows what's best for me, I love him, all of them, but sometimes they step over the line and go too far.
I logged onto MSN Messenger, appearing offline, to see who I could vent my anger to, there was no one on besides Joey, I clicked on him:

I checked out some of the gossip emails I got, there was a Green Day one, apparently Mike and Britney split, load of crap, oh there's a Fall Out Boy one, Billie must have signed me up lets see what it says...
Pete Wentz, bassist and fortuitous frontman of the soft core punk/emo band Fall Out Boy was spotted outside a grocery store in Bakersfield buying hundreds of jars of coffee with none other than Riley Nesser, Billie Joe Armstrong's niece. An insider said "The two of them have been getting rather close of late, she'd helped him through a lot and he feels he needs to repay her..." what kind of repaying he's doing the insider failed to mention...what we at Closer want to know is, what happened to Pete's girlfriend, who is now claiming to be pregnant with his child, and what does Billie Joe think of this little affair? Hmm... keep tuned in to see possible sparks fly...
I have to hand it to the media, they really have amazing imaginations, how they got I was going out with Pete from getting a picture of us holding all those coffee jars is beyond me!
