The demon continued to walk down the seemingly endless hallway.
"Hey!" He turned. Rain was still following him.
"You're free,"he said. "You don't have to keep following me."
"What did you mean we're in The Fire?"
"It's just like I said. I was captured by feeders, and brought here. Shortly after, they dragged you in unconscious."
"Did they bring in anyone else?"
"Not that I saw. Look, if you're trying to find someone, just look in the cells. But, just so you know, I won't help you get them out."
He walked off. Rain waited a second, and then followed.
"I'm going with you!"
He stopped. "Why?"
"You know the way out!"
"I just meant I knew the way out of the cell! I don't know the way to the surface. The only ones that know that are the feeders and the traitor."
"Traitor?"
"I heard some feeders talking about it. A couple years ago there was a feeder that helped break a prisoner out of her cell and escape. Apparently, he got scratched by a dragon, though. I heard dragon wounds leave a nasty scar."
"W-what did he look like?"
He glanced at her suspiciously. "Why are you so interested?"
"What did he look like??"
"I don't know. I just know he got a nasty scar on his eye."
"If someone got a scar like that, what would the eye look like?"
"Pitch black. There wouldn't be any white anywhere on it."
"Jasper."
"Who?"
"His name is Jasper. He's been hiding out in Ett."
He walked towards her. "How do you know this?"
"He was helping me come here to save my parents."
"That other girl- she took you to him?"
"Uh-huh."She nodded.
"She's been here too, you know."
"She has?"
"He's considered a traitor for helping her escape, remember?"
"Am I, now?" She looked farther down the hall and saw Jasper standing there.
The demon turned. "You!" he shouted. He pointed, but not at Jasper. Fen was standing right behind him.
Fen pulled a bow and arrow off her back. "I should've aimed better that first time." She pulled the bow back, and got ready to shoot.
