I love the story. Your descriptions are quite amazing as well as your vocabulary. The words and sentences flow together nicely.
I thought it was quite sad what the mother had done. Just leaving her child and husband like that.
I'm glad that Patrick's mother came over. It's just what he needed. =D
Oh, and Joshua is the cutest kid ever XD
I'm not too sure whether I like that Pete set him up on a blind date. He just got through an ugly break-up/divorce, and that shouldn't be too good. Yet, it would be a good idea to help Patrick get back on his feet and move on.
