I liked it. The battle scene was descriptive without being overly bloody, except what happened to the poor baslisk? You left many unanswered question in you AU, like was Snape good or bad, what powers did Harry have? Why couldn't Merlin leave the cave? What did Harry do afterwards? Though a short story has many good points, it leaves just as many unanswered questioned. How about a sequel.
