Hmmm... I once wrote a story in which Snape's French cousin, Gargamel, sends him his latest smurf-ingreadient-based potion recipe via owl-post.
Snape couldn't get his hands on any smurfs, so he used common garden gnomes instead, only to find they didn't match. Fromthere things went downhill... Wish I could remember where I posted it.
Also, I read a short ficlet once that poked fun at all those Harry-is-the-heir-of-the-founders-and-Merlin-and-Morgana-la-Fey-and-Jesus-Christ-himself-and-also-Hercules,-Achiles-and-Romus-and Romulus-all-in-the-same-time fics. He had Harry go to Gringots to do an inheritance ritual and find out he was the heir of Gagamel and had a special power that drove him into chasing and trying to trap little blue communist gnomes...
Can't remember where that one was, either.
Anyway, I suppose with Harry's bad track of crying girls, people WOULD assume a Hermione crying all over him was actually going about snogging him, huh?
Poor Harry Potter, must be traumatized for life after that. Swear of girls and all. Go after Hagridm perhaps?

- to psianogen: I also wrote half a chapter for one of my stories on ff.net in which Harry goes back in time and shacks up with Lady Bane, eating Gummy Bears and everything... IIRC, it had a pickled Lord Voldemort as well, and he got himself eaten too, by accident. Don't know where I come up wwith those crazy notions.

I'll go look for those two Smurfy fics you mentioned. The only one I've read, aside of my own, had Snape pulled back in time to help his ancestor, Gargamel, defeat the little blue bastages.

Well, I think it's more a matter of that everyone's always figured Hermione would end up with either Harry or Ron, and it seems as if Harry's the one, now. Ron certainly seems to agree on that count. ;-)
As far as Cho goes, I'm fairly sure this happens before that whole business.

Unlikely. Harry likes girls far too much for that. And besides, speaking from experience, being cried upon by a pretty girl isn't such a bad experience for a lad. Once they're wept out, they tend to be quite grateful. ;-)
