but it is such a nice thought that there love was still so strong after all that time. It would be nice if there was more of that.
it was a really tragic story..but so beautiful.
i really liked the way the nurses came in after and listened to the tape. it made the story all the much more effective!
i did wonder though, whatever happened to the son they adopted and his family. You would have thought they would have visited frank, and kept in touch with gerard (it just seems like they didnt - gerard seemed so lonely) =(
right - im getting waaay too much into this! xD

The didn't have the kids come in during the story because it takes place during a relatively short period of time, and i wanted to concentrate more on the love between the two of them. Besides, they probably wouldn't have visited that much considering he doesn't even remember them most of the time. But the fact that Gerard went to visit him every day despite his illness was the whole point of the story.
