Really interesting twist, never expected Snape to go this soon, or in this manner. But I think this would be best. Story will become much more interesting with new professors. I am guessing that Sluggy will make a return now. But defense, could we get Remus in early. Or some decent prof's for a change. Am looking forward to talk with dumbles, the plans, and training.
Only prob that I have had with your story so far is how harry n hermione learned occlumency in this short period. I am guessing that they have build just rudimentary layers, but still.
One thing I hope to see in your fic soon is the family alliance between potters and logbottms that snape spoke up of. And also declaration of Harry as the head of potter family on lines of nevillie, that would make the fic really really interesting.

Hi; sorry it's taken me so long to respond, but between being under the weather, and then changing jobs, I missed this review.
Anyway; I had an idea for setting up the conversation with Dumbledore, and I don't think anybody would have expected it, so I'll be posting it this weekend (Sunday probably, unless I get overloaded with words on Saturday after work)
As for the Occlumency, lets just say that Harry and Hermione were extremely motivated to find out what was going on GRIN
Seriously; I don't know if it's ever specifically stated in canon how long it takes to learn, so I adjusted the time frame to meet the needs of the story.
