Wands, I believe Olivander once said, have a magical coore, which comes from a magical creature.
A boomslang snake is not magical, it is mundane, so no part of it should work as the core of a magical focci, let alone its venom, which isn't even a body part!

I guess i could go with Basalisk skin... my only caveat with that one is that a Basalisk is regarded as such a dark creature. I wanted something a little ligher.
As far as boomslang goes, their venom is used in potions, remember. it's used to make veritaserum. That's why i thought it would work as a wand core.
