I like the mood that you create in this drabble. I like the tension in the first paragraph and the intensity of the second paragraph. I also like your word choice -- in particular, I love the little touch of "terrier-nin" as it stands out as something unique to the world of Naruto.

On the subject of word choice, one criticism I must make is the use of the word "prevalent". It brings to mind something widespread or accepted by many people. That is, I could see an opinion being prevalent/not prevalent among the villagers, but it doesn't seem to fit when applied to just one person.

Other than that, however, the phrasing is good. Love how you managed to allude to Sasuke's obsession with Itachi without actually saying his name, and oh that last line about Naruto and Sasuke and brotherhood just makes my heart ache.
