I totally agree with you on the whole Bert thing. It was nice to have a change where Bert was cast as the good guy and Gerard as the bad. People automatically assume that the whole Gerard/Bert break-up was all Bert's fault. It really gets on my nerves 'cause they don't know what actually happened; they just choose to target Bert as the villain. It's so prejudicial.
And I also agree that stories should eventually come to an end. Otherwise it just drags on and drags on and it eventually becomes boring and people stop reading. You definetly made the right decision to end it. But I think it would be great if you did an epilogue, just to tie all the loose ends together and show exactly what the whole outcome was for the future. Personally, and I think other readers would agree with me, I think it would be a great idea if you posted your epilogue. But, as I said before, it's your story and your decision is the one that counts.
