My brain is still whirling around this whole chapter, so much happened, and yet, not really that /much/, if you know what I mean.
I think a lot of self discovery/understanding happened, and maybe not for the best...
I don't like how it ended, it makes me nervous, and even though I'm an avid watcher of the show, you still make me nervous because I'm scared that you're going to simply make the story your own and I won't get my way, or, possibly worse, that you'll follow the storyline exactly and I STILL won't get what I want. :(
I thought this line was kinda brilliant.
"It was safe to say that by the time he stepped outside the airport and once again lit up his one and only life-line and breathed in its toxic fumes, that his spirits were substantially lifted."
His one and only life-line...an interesting concept, since clearly, a cigarette is anything but a life-line, but the idea that it's something he needs, something he depends on, something he can rely on, well, like I said, kinda brilliant.
I really can't wait for the next chapter. I'm very glad that you're back - I was a bit nervous that you might have simply given up on the story, which, honestly, would have been pretty devastating. I'm a big fan. :)
