So Shut Your Eyes

Ok I feel I owe you an actual review on this one. Yesterday I didn't really get past the ghost part so today I read the whole chapter and of course I have more to say on it.

First I just gotta say that personally, when you wake up with a hard on that's kinda the first thing you notice - especially if it's sticking out of your pajama pants. LOL I think the way you wrote it is fine in the story, I just had to throw that out there 'cause I'm like that.

I think one of the things that makes this story more realistic is the fact that Gerard didn't just fall madly in love with Willow and "live happily ever after". That would be quite boring wouldn't it? So kudos to you for bringing the realism and the emotion and the inner turmoil to these characters. You've only touched on the character's past too - but I like that the readers only have a hint of things like how bad that marriage was and you're gradually throwing us little tidbits.

And of course I'm wondering when you're going to drop more Elena on us - either in the form of telling us what she really told Willow that one night, or her actually showing up at the mansion. I'm actually kinda wondering why she hasn't already shown up at the mansion since it is a "gathering spot".

I also like how the other characters are also starting to speak their minds on the G/W thing. All of it is building up to a crescendo I'm sure where Gerard's carefully crafted wall is going to get shattered.

Anyway, there's my REAL review!

Author's response

Thanks so much for the "real" review. Okay I'm glad to hear from a guy point of view that what I wrote was fine. I mean I did guess that he would notice the hard on first. LOL. But I also wanted it to be obvious that as soon as he saw Willow in pain he forgot uh..his own and went to her. And yes I do try to make this realistic. They both have so many issues they are dealing with that simply falling in love at this point really wouldn't be "real". As for Elena....well all I can say is she does play a very important part in this story. Anyway, thanks so much for this review.
