If Wishes Were Hippogriffs

Okay, having read just finished reading this, I'd like to say, "Great Story!"

Unfortunately, I read your author's notes, and feel the need to correct a few false statements that show your college professors failed you before I do so.

1.) Any, yes, any, statement that implies that one gender is better than the other, in any way, shape or form irregardless of context or subject is a sexist statement.

2.) A person will always favor members of their own gender over those of the opposite gender, with the exception of family and friends. A complete stranger is more likely to favor YOU over THEM if YOU are the same gender as the stranger and THEY are the opposite.

3.)Feminism is the strive for equality between the sexes, not the belief that women are more or less of something than men.

So, yes, the various people on the forums were correct in saying you had made a sexist statement.

In response to those people, I say, "Big effin' whoop."

It is your story and it is well writ. I enjoyed reading it and enjoyed the ending as well.

It is truly impossible to avoid thinking or saying something sexist, simply because of the way our brains are wired, which is why Feminism is the striving for equality.

Having gotten all that out of the way, without further ado:
"Great Story!"
