He already hurt Gerard, why would Frank go and hurt Autumn now? She's such a doll to him, and she doesn't deserve to be lied to. Hopefully she can sense Frank's true feelings, and coach him into following his heart.

Yes, Frankie doesn't want to hurt Autumn. She seems to be slowly realizing what's going on, though she doesn't know what set it off. But maybe she'll realize that Frank still loves Gee... Or maybe Gerard will realize it... (suspenseful cliff-hanger :)
