Wellll, I imagine Orochimaru had other reasons for leaving the organization...but yeah, you just know Itachi chased him off to avoid having to babysit the Sound Four like he did Sasuke. (I personally loved babysitting, but it's not for everyone, and especially not for Itachi. Oro should have asked Tobi or Deidara instead.)
