ESK FIC FOR THE WIN. Seriously, thank you for writing this; I thought Equal Rites was a brilliant book, but it could have used another 200 pages or so to be a complete story. This goes some way toward filling the gap, and explaining why she never gets mentioned in any of the later books. Also, it covers the ramifications of Lancre jumping forward for the people outside - there must have been more than just Esk and Tomjon, after all.
Grammar note: At one point you have 'colleges' instead of 'colleagues.'
