The cousins cute, great plot but ew! Aloe - Nasty nasty! Ew Ew Ew!
The only thing that makes me sad about this story is that Pete doesn't seem to really be bonding with Robert, I mean, it's great he looked after him for 4 days but he doesn't show any over affection which surprised me, you've written the characters really well. It's often hard to write things that would naturally be against the nature of the character but I think you do this really well.
You can see he's shutting his family out and the feelings you describe Pete having for Aloe are so strong. Making way for a great de-railment.....
