Wait... you said you aren't here to create a story (yet)... so erm, if you'll confuse my thick-ness, why exactly are you here? To tell us what's wrong with our writing? (I'm American too, and we do seem to ba a rather thick lot, yeah? I do have writing tendencies that lean away from American, though. Not entirely my fault. The word "mom" just sounds icky. "Mum" I like much better.)
