I loved how much Pete was able to piece together about Mikey just from paying attention to him, that shows that he really does care. I also thought that it was a nice touch that Mikey got beaten up; it was a clever way of showing us that Pete really is willing to help him out.
I can't wait to see what happens when Gerard and Frank a) see that Mikey got beaten up and b) meet Pete.

You might be onto something!!! But even I will have to figure it out too! Anyway, I'm really happy that you can see just how much Pete already cares for Mikey. I'm also quite relieved that you thought that Mikey getting beaten up was okay (not for Mikey I mean for the story!) I was afraid it was going too far but it just showed how the jocks will treat Mikey now. I also wanted Pete to see it Too so that you can how much he cares.
