I have to say that I adore how cliche and crazy this story is.
I think the point you make about Harry being better at acting without thinking than thinking while acting is spot on and applies in the actual series as well. He operates on pure instinct.
I like this story so much that while I normally wait a couple months before rereading a good story, this story I've only waited about a week before coming back.
