I know this was ages ago; but hear me out.
If you have any ideas for writing; go for it!
But I seriously like how it is. You don't have to continue. It's beautiful; I love the way it ends with the little mystery. My opinion on this is you should leave it exactly how it is.
This story, quite frankly, is amazing.
