Terrific chapter with a nice change of pace. Nice choreography of the pair of fight scenes and shifting from the 'leveling up' and following his personal goal; protecting his precious people of Konoha makes for a really strong dynamic. Nice that you're using the original anime framework as a reference without getting too bogged down by staying true to it. Excellent work. Hope we get to see more like it in the future.
