Origin Beach

Now that I have immersed myself little more in this fandom this makes more sense to me.

This reads like a chapter out of a book that was written about an origin of a species. Or better yet, like Greek mythology, explaining where something came from.

Or even Native American Folklore. This story had that kind of feel to it.
But this is not a human experience. But it is explained in a way a human can relate to.
As a stand-alone story it is not that entertaining. But as part of a Created mythology it fits in with the last story I read.
The one negative that I can point out is the ending. I did not care for “Ok lets try to do it".
Too simple in my opinion not mystical enough. How about something like this. We shall sing until we are in harmony with our brethren of the sea. Or something, like that. Just a suggestion. Not saying you have to change anything.

/Author\'s Response: Thanks for the review!
Most of what the Dry Side Singers say is taken verbatim from the game's hidden messages, actually - the 'Singer of the water' is the series protagonist, Ecco. At one point, he travels back in time, so in his reality, something like this actually happened. :)
I can see how the ending could be considered a bit dry, though; maybe I should explore how the Singers guessed at why they breathe air while living underwater before Ecco found out about their distant ancestors. In some other story, perhaps.
(P.S. Sorry if there are random break tags in this response. I'm trying to see if manually inserting break tags works in review responses.)/
