Near Morning

Oh, man. I can't wait to see what happens next. As weird as this sounds, I'm jealous for Gerard. I can't imagine how he must be feeling right now... The other dude seems too "perfect" to me and he's raising lots of red flags in my head from my (too many) dating experiences (with really charismatic jerks). Part of me hopes to hell I'm wrong and Victoria doesn't get hurt, but the other half of me (the hopeless fangirl half) want to see Gerard get her back.

I love Victoria so far, she is written realistically and she is someone who is easy to relate to. And I very much appreciate how you've characterized Gerard. He's not Gerard the rock star here, he's Gerard the human being. Again, can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's response

I'm really not trying to make Logan weird, at all. He's actually based on the actor Logan Marshall-Green. I watched a couple of interviews and he speaks very rapidly with charm in every word. Not to mention, he's flawless. So Logan is pretty normal for the most part, he's a guy from the South; they are very old school in the way they approach females.

I tried to write Victoria with as many complexities as i could. No human on earth is one vessel and no matter how much of a 180 she did, she'll always have the better half of her past with her. In order to nail Gerard (figuratively, unfortunately) I twitter stalk him so I can get that real feel; how he interacts with people and what he has to say to the world. I met him before and he just gave off that a Devil-may-care attitude about what people thought about him. So to go and step on Logan's turf by kissing Victoria.
