I know what you're thinking, but William is not a mere punchline, or a new sex toy for the girls; he has a vital role in pulling down the Old Bumpkin's breeches, so to speak.
Plus, the fact that the girls are now Federal agents foer the AMA is probably the most important plot point revealed in this chapter.
