hm...what did the creator of COTT changed about her? hm...i'm thinking it's her psychis abilities. the myths didn't mention any psychic alibities...well as far as i know. oh and maybe that anger management thing. you know when she turns all creepy when she's angry. the famous myth of Persephone and Demeter is when Hades saw Persephone and fell in love with her. but he knows that Demeter won't let him marry her precious daughter so he kidnaps her and brings her to the Underworld. Demeter spend nine days and nine nights looking for her missing daughter. during that time, the earth turns barren and nothing grows so that's where winter comes from. one day she comes across a shepherd boy who saw the whole kidnapping and Demeter goes to Zeus and demand him to return her daughter to her or else she will abadon her duties. Zeus of course refuse and Demeter leaves her duties. for months, the people are starving because nothing are growing. Zeus finaly gave in and told Hermes to go to Hades and fetch Persephone. Hermes arrives and told Hades to give back Persephone back to her mother. Hades reluctantly agree and Persephone goes back to Earth. just as she was going to leave a gardener comes and tell Hades that Persephone had eaten 3 pomegranates seeds. Now there's this rule that if you eat anything from the Underworld, you can't leave, ever. so Zeus decide that Persephone have to return to the Underworld and spend a month for every seed she ate. so for 3 month each year, she returned to the Underworld and winter comes because Demeter is depressed. but when it is time for Persephone to come up, Demeter rejoice and spring comes. phew! that was a lot of typing. anyways, here's my email address: cott_r_heroes@hotmail.com.
