I like the beginning, but there are some things that bother me. For instance, you shouldn't have to tell us that Hakudoushi is reminising. Put in more detail about what caused him to reminisce about twenty years ago. Where he was at when he suddenly remember his promise to himself to kill the Inu-tachi. Things like that. Those few things should give you a longer chapter.
