But it's more than process, that word has the connotation of a beginning and an end, with grief, there is no closure, it's just another personality trait you have to lug around for the rest of your days. It's accepting the idea that you have to forego life without that person or that something and you have to make the changes in order to endure it. -> I love that. Katy. Some years ago I lost somebody who meant a lot to me. Probably the world to me, in those days. As years go by it doesn’t wear us down so much anymore (if we’re able to move on and distract ourselves) but we never forget and we always think about them. Blah… you said it perfectly. :)

I love how people poke fun at the stupid Herbal Essences shampoo commercials. I was gonna have Joe tell Sheena that if she misses orgasms (with Andy) she should use Herbal Essences. But yeah, then I found it too silly… ;)

dismissing the idea of beauty and replacing it with practicality -> I just adore your little aside comments. Your attention to detail and mood-setting is phenomenal. (Yay, a new adjective besides “awesome” and “plonktacular”!)

/There wasn't even time for words, the need had to be resolved, the need had to be fulfilled. Plummeting onto the bed, they continued to aggress each other in more than formal way and heavy-handed affection was all that the need would allow for.
The hidden figure of hers was now exposed and the unclaimed use of lights meant attention to detail was off the formats of passion tonight./ -> It’s probably just because I’m not a native speaker, but these lines demanded a lot from me. ;) And I enjoyed reading them over and over again until I (think) I fully understood them. :) Incredible style in this short paragraph. I’m in awe, Katy.

I agree with Sarah on two things:
1) the parallel scenes/ time structure – It’s unbelievably powerful and it gives the story depth and extra meaning. Also helps the reader to figure out why Ella is in such a bad condition.
2) Katy belongs to Alex. :)

This time I opted for an “ambiance” rating point, MY Katy. ;)
