I believe I have read either both prior versions, or most of both. The Godric sequence here makes for a nice intro, which helps to explain some of the questions posed in the first and second versions.
I have a suggestion for you, which is worth exactly what you pay for it. Why not post all three versions here, or on your Yahoo site, and invite readers to compare theem. (You might have enough information to begin a fourth version.)
