I agree wth your idea that Harry sometimes gets away with things that others wouldn't, but in Snape's mental rant, Potter is the instigator of all the ills in the world. He refuses to beleve Draco could possibly start any of the frequent fights he and Harry have, and yet, he miraculously turns up, just in time to keep lil' Dracky from getting his ass whipped. He refuses to acccept any words other than his oown mini Death eaters in any altercation. His points taking is not only biased, it is vindictive and unwarrented. He demands respect, yet does not earn it. His teaching methods are worse than deplorable, and ineffctual. He assists the Slytherins in class often doing the task for them which is not only cheating, but also teaching them to cheat, and when anyone makes a mistake, he blames it on Potter, or in his absence, the Gryffs. As a teacher, I'd have fired him long before. He clearly favors his own house to the point of actually cheating the points system in order to ensure Slytherin wins the house cup. His hatered for James Potter has so colored his mind, that he holds Harry to fault for all the ills in the wizarding world. His service to Voldemort was voluntary. Whether he regretted it after the fact is immaterial. He is a murderer, rapist ad torturer. Being a Death Eater requires this. It is my opinion tthat he is unrepnttant petty and shoould have never been placed in proximity to children of any kind.
Dumbledore's insistance that Severus has refoormed is unsupported. He gives second chances far too often, and this weakness will in the nd be tthe wapon that Vooldemort needs torule tthe wizarding world.
OK. I'm off my soapbox. I eagerly await the neextt page of 'Heir of Gryffindor'. Alorkin
