Ug, I feel really awkward... which is what you were most definately trying to get across because that's how Joe had to be feeling in that situation. I mean, that's just not normally something you deal with on a normal basis.
The heels thing (didn't copy the quote, so I'm probably not getting it exactly right here) about them being hazardus to one's ankles... I laughed at that. I'm always falling or twisting my ankles in heels... but that never stops me anyway... OMG, I'm as bad as Brenda!!! Ok, think about something else...
I have to agree with riaryder in the fact that it really is such a shame that Carl doesn't like boys... but everyone has prefrences I suppose.
You always write humor so well, but your serious chapters always draw me in just as much. :)

Yes. Besides I don't know if Carl could fall in love with silly Joe even if she did like boys... And could Joe fall in love with Caroline? I don't know. Thank you, digging the reassurance I get from you. :)
