Perhaps it was because the word count was not much and you wanted to end it happyly, the ending does feel like a bit rushed. Until the end/confession it was going so amazing and I could feel my heart protesting to Kyo's pain, feeling sad for him. But the ending doesn't reach the perfection of the beginning.
