Well, you've taken some original steps (like Harry being beaten by Fleur - most Independent!Harry stories make him invincible from the start). I also appreciate you keeping the sap level low.
The idea of Occulmens skill transfers is interesting and I don't think I've ever seen it used in these context. Should be interesting to see what else Harry learns.
One downer - I think you need to get a Beta reader or (and I have found this a good alternative) you should print out and read the story before you post it. You will find more spelling and grammar errors that way.
