Would You Believe Me If I Said I Didn't Need You?

"I'm glad you didn't kill me." That made me laugh. I both adore and despise that Molly is so dense at times. I am also sad to see that Patrick and Molly will never be, but I think that Pete (or at least the Pete you portray) will work well with this new Molly. Speaking of which, I adore the way you write Pete. You don't make him this obscenely self-centered Romeo like many people do, you add more to him, make him more human.

And I have been waiting all my life to answer that question.

My number one FOB song is actually a tie between "Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year" and "Gay is Not a Synonym for Shitty." "Sophomore Slump" has this feel to it that is so full of honesty, but still so "we are who you want us to be," and I love it. As for "GINASFS," I love the concept, the prospect that it might be about a boy rather than a girl (especially with the last chorus), and the way it's got kind of a slow feel underneath the fast melody. Plus, when Patrick sings "I traced your shadows on the wall now I kiss them whenever I'm down," there's this quiet desperation in his voice that chokes me up. It's awesome.

So there's that. I absolutely love this story, I look forward to alerts about it, and every time a chapter ends, I get all antsy and twitchy. So keep writing, I'll keep loving.

Author's response

Never say Never. The kiddies have some time to maybe work out their problems. Thats the problem with children who think they're adults.
To me Pete IS human. He's more human then a lot of other people I see. He has his fuck ups and he lets us know that. Also part of me hates him a little bit. If you ask anyone who knows me (some people more so then others) tell me that I "am" Pete. and I think that's why I hate him--I'm not the biggest fan of myself.
The reason I asked is because I can not pick a favorite song of mine from their catalogue. Sophmore Slump is right up there and I fully plan on getting a tattoo in relation to that song one day (but thats because of a line in it not necessarily the entire song) but its not my total favorite. I love all their stuff too much, I was curious as to what others thought. Probably my closest to being favorite is: GTA or Thriller. I cry anytime I hear thriller like a lame ass and GTA is just so much fun, esspecially live when everyone sings along.
I'll write more tonight as I'm sick as a dog and won't be going to visit my bestest buddy this weekend :(
