Really excellent start to what I hope is a long saga. Thanks for writing; I've enjoyed these chapters!Author's response
Thanks DrT.
Wow, I've been reading your stories for ages, and to get positive feedback from you is kinda cool.
I've got 7 chapters written at the moment, and they're on FF and my new Yahoo group.
I'll post them here as soon as I can work out why the formatting gets messed up when posting here. 20+ mins manual editing per chapter gets old real quick.Thoughts of Pudding

Ok, this was cool. Harry/Luna is always fun when it's done well, and this was.
Cheers!Author's response
Thanks, I hope I have managed to capture Luna's personality in a positive way. Whether it's the same way that JKR saw her, I don't know. I'm going mostly from the books, and partly from Evanna's portrayal in OoTP.
I fully expect I'm also borrowing from what I've liked about her characterisations in other fanfics as well.
In any case I think she's fun to write, and just full of contradictions. She's a Ravenclaw, so whatever else, that demonstrates that her wits clearly aren't all off with the fairies (or Nargles).
I think she has also been starving for friendship and affection, in some ways even more so than Harry. (After all, Harry didn't spend time painting his bedroom ceiling with pictures of his friends.)Thoughts of Pudding

This seems like a very good story so far. I really liked Harry's confrontation with McGonagall. It irritates me how she and every other teacher seem to always ignore what Snape and Malfoy act like towards others as well as the fact that she never takes Harry seriously when he comes to her for help. Can't wait to read more of this.Thoughts of Pudding

Harry/Luna, always a winning combo. This story is great.
a list of chores every day that would make a house elf sigh
The aforementioned statement is the only thing I have an issue with. Seeing as the House Elves get off on cleaning and things, the statement would actually be saying that he doesn't have much work to do. I'd have personally gone with -a list of chores every day that would make a house elf cream themselves- but that's just me.Author's response
Hey, thanks for the review. I thought I'd take a moment to clarify this for you.
The comment could be taken a couple of ways. Firstly, the house elf could be sighing in pleasure, or (and I think this one is more likely...ok, lemme rephrase that, this is the reason), Harry could be exaggerating just a bit. I mean, how long would a list need to be before even a work-loving house elf sighed? :)
