Everyone’s eyes turned to the figure in the kitchen, who sat up on the counter of the island where Pete normally made his blend. “Who the Hell are you and how the fuck did you get in here?” Pete demanded as he went to grab the net gun Joe normally toted, but growled when he found himself unable to touch it.

“I’m not armed, any of you can come check me,” he replied as he narrowed his eyes at Pete. “I’m here to talk to you, actually, about a certain someone you have locked up here,” he explained as he let go of his mental hold on Pete, nodding his approval when he withdrew from reaching for the gun.

“You’re not taking him to Beckett,” Joe said as he realized this stranger was talking about his Deacon.

Sabine growled at the mention of his master’s enemy. “I would never turn him over to that bastard!” He snapped, narrowing his eyes once more, but at the floor. “I just need to see him, please,” he said as he looked up in time to stop the net from hitting him, surprising the guys since none of them had seen a vampire stop items, only people. “I told you I’m not armed, Pete, and hurting me would not be the best idea for you and your friends. The threat lies with my Master in that area.”

“Who are you?” Patrick asked as he watched the net fall to the ground.

“And how did you get in here?” Andy questioned, looking confused since he knew all of his defense systems were in perfect running order.

“My name, is Sabine,” Sabine answered as he got down from the island and made his way over to the group, extending his hand to Patrick, “Sabine Martin, servant to Aubrey Cyprus. It’s nice to meet you, Patrick,” he said as Patrick slowly extended his hand and muttered his name. Sabine turned his eyes to Andy. “And to answer your nicely asked question,” he paused to glance a reprimanding look at Pete before he looked back to Andy, “I got in with your help,” he answered.

“My help?” Andy parroted, looking even more confused. “How did I help you?”

“You took in a stray cat,” Sabine answered with an amused grin as he lifted a brow at Andy, who, along with the others, looked shell-shocked.

“Wait, so the transforming ability isn’t a myth?” Joe asked, the first one to voice their thoughts.

“Hardly,” Sabine answered, “but for some reason, one even the vampires have yet to figure out, only those bit by vampires with the transforming gene can transform like their makers. They like to think it’s also somehow strength related, but that’s not always true.”

“Enough of the formal chit-chat, what the Hell do you need to see Deacon for?” Pete snapped, tired of the small talk.

Sabine turned an annoyed stare to Pete. “You really are dense, aren’t you, Mr. Wentz?” He questioned. “Take a good long look at me, think of my last name, and ask that question again.”

Pete, and the others, took the chance to do just that, stare at him, noticing for the first time his somewhat similarity to Deacon. “Are you his brother or a cousin with the same last name?” Pete questioned, losing some of his hostility towards the intruding vampire.

“His brother,” Sabine answered with a small smile. “I’m four years older than him, and I haven’t seen him for almost ten years. I’m sorry for intruding in your home, but wouldn’t you have done the same if you had found out a sibling of yours was somewhere within your reach?” He questioned, locking eyes with Pete, who nodded to show his understanding. “Please, can I see him?”

“Joe, I think you should take Sabine to him,” Patrick said before Pete could open his mouth, incase he might have said the opposite.

Joe got up from his seat and lead Sabine to the door that lead to where Deacon was. He opened the door and looked at the guy he had already fallen so hard for. “Deacon...” He watched as Deacon looked up at the sound of his name from his lover’s lips, and then frowned in confusion as he looked at the somewhat familiar person who stood next to Joe, who looked back at him with a slight look of awe. “Deacon, come here...”

Deacon got up and made his way over to the cell door as it unlocked with a click without Joe’s hands anywhere near it. As it swung open he found himself embraced in a tight bear hug as a heavy sigh of what sounded like relief escaped the vampire hugging him close. He gently pushed at the male until he pulled back and looked at Deacon with a huge beaming smile.

“God, look at you!” Sabine exclaimed as he brought up his hand and brushed the slight fuzziness of the shaved hair on both sides of Deacon’s mohawk. “I almost don’t recognize you,” he said as his voice took an a reminiscing tone to it. “You’ve really grown up since I saw you last...”

Deacon’s heart rate picked up when he recognized the voice and then slowly the appearance of the person holding him at arm’s length, looking him over. “S-Sabine?” He croaked out, suddenly over-whelmed with emotion as his eyes began to quickly water at the sight of his supposedly dead brother.

“Oh, Deacy,” Sabine sighed as he pulled his little brother close once more, smiling as this time Deacon hugged him back. “God I missed you little bro.”

“Where did you go?” Deacon asked with a whimper as his tears started flowing. “I thought you were dead.”

“I had to leave, Deacon,” Sabine said softly as he stroked the back of his brother who was crying softly into his shoulder. “Mom and Dad wouldn’t have understood what was going on, and I couldn’t risk hurting you. I left to keep you safe, Deacon.”

“What was going on that you had to up and disappear on us?” He whimpered, looking up at Sabine.

“It was when I got turned,” Sabine answered as he stroked his hair. “I was having trouble controlling my feeding needs so Aubrey took me to his home, wanting me as his in-home pet anyway. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, Deacon, but who would have believed you? They would have sent you to some fucking nut bin if you started saying I got taken in by a vampire. Please don’t hate me for leaving without saying good bye,” Sabine said softly as Deacon slowly looked up at him.

“Why have you not contacted me yet, my love?”
Aubrey questioned softly even though Sabine could definitely here the worry in his Master’s voice.

“Forgive me, Master, but I was so caught up in what I found out about the humans I spoke with you about,” Sabine replied as he softly brushed his fingers through Deacon’s mohawk as his little brother slowly shook his head from side to side. “Do you hate me?” He whispered, afraid to hear what might come from his little brother.

Deacon hugged Sabine close as he sniffled. “I missed you, I’m glad you’re alive,” Deacon replied. “But, no, I don’t hate you, Sabine. I could never hate my brother.”
