The next morning, Aurora woke up earlier than everyone else in the house; she got up and had a quick, refreshing hot shower, and came out with her dark hair smelling of coconut. She got dressed and went downstairs quietly, she knows it that she’s usually the earliest bird of the family.
Once downstairs in the living room, she went straight into the kitchen, put the kettle and coffee machine on, while she began making breakfast for the whole house. After about 10-15 minutes later, Donald, Donna, grandma, Gerard and Mikey came downstairs, and were met with the welcoming and delicious smell of the breakfast.
“Hello…good morning, darling…” Donna greeted, smiling.
“Oh…wow…you made breakfast for all of us? Love you…my girl!” Donald exclaimed heartily.
“Aurora is a great girl, a great sister and a great daughter.” Grandma Elena stated, smiling.
“Thanks…sis…Thank you so much.” Mikey stated, as he hugged her and kissed her on the forehead.
Before Mikey sat down, he looked at her curiously.
“Wow…you smell so nice!” Mikey stated.
“Well…thank you. Coconut flavor shampoo!”
Next, Gerard went up to her and hugged her dearly, and gave her a sweet kiss on the forehead.
“Love you…my dear baby sis.” Gerard stated.
Aurora frowned and rolled her eyes.
“Gee-dawg…I’m not a baby!” Aurora stated, huffing.
“I know you aren’t, but you will always be my darling baby sister.” Gerard responded and winked.
“I love you…my bro…”
Gerard sat down at the table, and started eating, while Aurora made her way up the stairs.
“Hey…wait up…Hold on…how about you?” Mikey asked.
“I’ve already eaten…”
She walked round the corner to get up the stairs, when she heard Gerard talking, she stood there and listened.
“Hey…mom…Hey…dad…Please can me and Mikey have our friends over for the afternoon?” Gerard asked.
“Sure thing…dear…” Donna replied.
“Thanks, mama.”
“Including your girlfriend?” Donna asked.
At that, Aurora’s eyes grew wide, she never knew it that her oldest brother has a girlfriend…she listened closer.
“Yes…mom…She’s coming as well.”
Aurora started to feel curious, she never knew it and she’s now wondering who that ‘she’ is…she walked upstairs back to her room. By 12:30pm, she could hear voices downstairs and door being opened and shut. She put aside her art pad, walked downstairs in a casual manner, with an air of unusual coolness. She finds the popular clan sitting in the lounge and she knows who and everyone of them was, and she also finds Gerard deeply pre-occupied and mesmerized with making out with his girlfriend, who Aurora undoubtedly recognized as Lacey Buchanan, who is one of the most popular girls in the school.
She walked into the kitchen and grabbed herself a can of soda, and then Mikey came in
“Hey…sis…” Mikey said, smiling.
“Hey…bro…” Aurora said back, with a small smile.
“Oh…me and Gerard have our friends over…Come and meet them!” Mikey said welcomingly.
“Mikey…my dear bro…I think I’d know their names by now.” Aurora stated.
Mikey looked at her quizzically. Aurora just stared back at him incredulously and raised her eyebrows.
“What?” Mikey asked.
“You should the answer to the question you are thinking of asking me.” Aurora replied.
“How do you know what I want to ask you?” Mikey asked.
“Because it is so goddamn obvious! The expression on your face tells me that you want to ask me how I would know your friends’ names.” Aurora replied smartly.
Before Mikey can say another word, Aurora quickly answered his question.
“And FYI, my answer to your question is that it’s because since they are the high school popular clan. Everyone in school knows all your names.” Aurora stated.
“Oh…” Mikey trailed off, stunned by her.
“And oh…it’s so obvious that you and Gee-dawg are the leaders of the pack.” Aurora stated, smiling smugly and smirked.
Aurora is only 13, but she’s so damn smart and intelligent, she’s really argumentative with a really slick, sharp tongue, which mean she always knows how to shut people up, and she definitely knows her way round words. She’s tall as well for a young teenage girl at 5ft8, taller than Gerard’s girlfriend in fact…who is older. After she opened the can of soda, she gave Mikey another smirk, and walked out of the kitchen, leaving him standing there shocked. Once she’s out in the living room, she was stopped by one of Gerard’s clan members---Frank Iero.
“Wait…you must be Gerard’s little sister---Aurora.” Frank called.
She turned around and smiled at Frank, who has his hair styled into a Mohawk. Frank’s eyes grew wide when he realized how beautiful Gerard’s little sister is.
“Of course…I am…& you must be Frank…Frank Iero…is it?” Aurora asked matter-of-factly.
“Yes…”
Gerard saw…stood up and laughed cheerfully.
“Frank…this is my sister---Aurora. Aurora…this is Frank.” Gerard introduced.
They shook hands and she decided to be the nice girl for once until she caught eyes to eyes with Lacey, Aurora smiled at her but all Lacey did was glared back and looked at her in a disgusted way. This is when Aurora had had enough, but she kept her cool, adding a slight cold and cruel attitude to herself. In school, Lacey had always been a total bitch to her, her friends and others who aren’t so popular, and Aurora knew it, but the popular clan doesn’t. Lacey is a total prep, today…she’s wearing a mini skirt that reached a few inches above her knee caps.
“What a slut!” Aurora thought to herself.
“Sis…let me introduce you to my friends…” Gerard began.
Aurora stood with her arms crossed in front of her chest and with a really cold smile on her face.
“There’s no need to make any introductions here…bro…” Aurora stated.
Without any further ado, she stunned them all by naming all of them correctly as who they are; Frank Iero, Bob Bryar, Ray Toro, Shawn Heinze, Artie Collins, Big Worm and Bert McCracken.
“& last…but not the least…Lacey Buchanan…my dear brother’s girlfriend.” Aurora finished.
“How did you know…?” Ray asked.
“This is exactly what Mikey asked me just now…my reply is still the same…and that is because you guys are the popular clan in the whole school. Everyone in school knows all your names.” Aurora replied.
“& I’ve no doubts that Gee-dawg and Mikey are indeed the clan leaders…” Aurora added.
Everyone just stared at the smart girl…including the total bitch---Lacey Buchanan.
“Anyway, if you will excuse me…I need to go now…It’s really nice to meet you all.” Aurora stated, slight sarcasm dripping on the tip of her tongue.
She headed for the stairs, and then she decided to say one last thing to Lacey Buchanan. She turned to Lacey and smiled coldly.
“Oh…and one last thing…Miss Buchanan…How you have captured my brother’s heart…I will never know.” Aurora stated coldly.
Aurora then walked off and walked back to her bedroom, feeling great and brilliant about herself.
