I loved the start, and it's turned me onto that excellent series of omakes that technically belong to Rors. Hopefully after the first few chapters time will move rather quickly, but really any way you write this story will be great. I only hope you find the time and energy to keep it going!
Looking forward to more.Author's response
Thank you!
Glad to've turned you on to Rors' fics--they're great fun. I particularly like his Evangelion fic "Chicks Dig Giant Robots."
I hope I can find the time and energy as well. I've got the first scene of the next chapter--we'll see how it goes from there.Harry's New Pets

Hey this is a rather cool and interesting ideal you have going here! I know slavery is wrong and all but for some reason the thought of a elven year old hermione, thirteen year old fluer and a nine year old luna as his pets/slaves is kinda cool in a wierd sorta of way. but anyway I sure hope you continue this.
P.S. What about hermione parents, and how is hermione gonna get her wand and school supplies? and are they going to beaubatoms or hogwarts? oh well I guess well just have to wait and see! and oh yeah what is a selkie?Author's response
Thank you!

Well, as Luna said, "You'd not be selling me as a slave, Daddy. You'd be selling me as a pet. It's not the same thing at all," but I know what you mean. Well, obviously, cos I'm writing it. ;-)
There's not going to be any real sex until they're old enough, but they're going to be very comfortable with each other long before.

Hermione's parents--well, I've not worked it out yet, but McGonagall and Monsieur and Madame Delacour will probably get them calmed down, after which it will be easy enough for them to give Hermione her wand and such whilst they're visiting.
oh yeah what is a selkie?
A seal person--they're human on the land, but seals in the sea. They have a tendency to get involved with human beings--the females when some young man sees them sunning on the rocks in human form and manages to steal their seal skins, the males when they come ashore and seduce girls. One of Hermione's great-great grandparents--or a bit further back than that--was a selkie.Harry's New Pets

It was a nice enough start with those old Rorscharch's Blot standbys innocent!Harry, sweptalong!Hermione and, of course, poo!Luna. It was a slow start but it will be interesting how you move things along. After all, Hermione, Fleur and Luna's situations have been radically altered - they are now part of the Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter. Hermione could now be considered to have more social status than the Malfoys have ever had.
I wonder, I just wonder, if Hermione is a Selkie, or at least a part-blood Selkie the way that Fleur is a part-blood Veela. It is possible that she has some magical creature blood in her distant ancestry and that is what made magic appear in a muggle family.
Speed things up a little and give us some deeper plot and you could be on to a winner.

Thank you!
I'd not thought about the social implications, but you're right--it's possible that a Potter pet does outrank the Malfoys. Could be fun if it worked that way. ;-)
Hermione _is_ part Selkie, but not as much as Haman Harkness seemed to think. He's fairly well pants at magic, as well as being an unethical SOB. I'd say offhand that her Selkie characteristics are more manifest on account of her magic than they would be in a Muggle--I tend towards the view that most Muggleborns are descended either from Squibs, Wizarding byblows, or both--but Selkie ancestry could be part of what gives her her magic.
I'm not much for faster pace or deeper plot, but we'll see. Thanks again!Harry's New Pets

Alright, you're either Jewish, have Jewish friends, or do excellent research, because I have NEVER seen the villain of the Purim story referenced in any form of media not directly about the holiday. Ten points to Ravenclaw.Author's response
I've got Jewish friends, ayup. Plus, well, I read a lot of 19th century literature growing up--"Hang him higher than Haman" was almost a cliché, at one time.
Thank you very much!!Harry's New Pets

Really like the story so far. I've always loved H/Hr/Luna and Fluer can only add to that. Really intrested to see wjat you do with the story as I think you have a great start. Keep up the great work.Author's response
Thank you very much!!
It's funny, actually--this was originally going to be a H/Hr/Fleur story, but Luna stuck her head in and insisted on being given her part. In a strange sort of way, I almost feel like Xeno Lovegood. ;-)Harry's New Pets

I never thought I'd write a story quite like this, to be honest.
I hope I can do more, also. ;-)
