Daddy Dearest

Nice. Not the reaction i expected from Voice-of-reason Granger, but still credible, given some serous maturity. I believe a bit more details wouldn't hurt, and i want to know more about the mother. Perhaps seeing the handsome and rich Harry would make her willing to be a mother to get some of him, resulting in a nice piece of competition? Just a thought. It's your story, and I'll be right here for the rest.

Nice. I enjoyed the chapter. I agree with Vanir that 'Mi' has mellowed a bit with time. I also think it'd be interesting were the birth mother to show up and turn out to have been magical...then again, getting it from Dudders is also pretty interesting. Far be it from me to tell you how to write YOUR story. Just keep 'em coming so I can keep getting in trouble at work for reading rather than working. ;-)Daddy Dearest

A very interesting idea. I think I've only come across two others like it.
Vernon's attitude doesn't surprise me a single bit. He's as bigoted as Lucius Malfoy. more than that, he's a hild abuser, and should never have been given custody of any child.
Petunia's death was a sad reminder that we are all mortal, though until chapter three, I wondered what happened to Dudley. It was really nice the learn they had begin to make inroads into salving their relationship.
The tail is a really nice 'gift'. It should serve as a reminder to Vernon, that Harry is no longer the shy and easily intimidated child he once was.
Being a Harry/Hermione shipper I cannot help liking the pairing. I think she's good for him. On the other hand please don't fall into the trap most authors do that men are incapable of raising a girl-child. I am a widowed dad, and have been successfully raising my, now fourteen year old daughter, since she was nineteen months.
I have placed this on my alerts list ad hope to read more soon.

I think I've done a fairly good job on that last point so far, and will strive to maintain it, but please bear in mind that I am only sixteen years old with absolutely no child-rearing skills.
I look forward to more of your reviews.
