RECAP: Not happy about it at all, I climbed on stage, trying to look happy.
That’s when I noticed something.
*************
Looking into Joe’s eyes, I saw something I’d never seen before.
His eyes were drop-dead gorgeous, a beautiful shade of light brown. I stared into them, forgetting where I was, acting like Joe and I were the only people in the room. He was looking at me too, seeming to be acting like me. Kevin politely cleared his throat, reminding Joe of where he was. Joe shook his head, snapping out of his dream world and back into reality. I sat down in a stool that was brought out on stage for me, and then Nick started to sing:
“Hello beautiful
How's it going?
I hear it's wonderful in California
I've been missing you
It's true...” He began.
“But tonight
I'm gonna fly
Yeah tonight
I'm gonna fly
'Cause I could come across the world,
And see everything
And never be satisfied
If I couldn't see those eyes.” Joe continued, girls screaming now more than ever.
“Hello beautiful
It's been a long time
Since my phone's rung
And you been on that line
I've been missing you
It's true.” Nick sang.
“But tonight
I'm gonna fly
Yeah tonight
I'm gonna fly
Oh yeah
'Cause I could come across the world,
See everything
And never be satisfied
If I couldn't see those eyes.” Joe finished, smiling at me. I noticed another thing; his smile was gorgeous. I then realized what was happening; could I actually be starting to like the Jonas Brothers? All this time I had assumed it was impossible; I’d hated everything about them.
I looked over at Taylor, who grinned at me. I grinned back, surprising myself by how just five minutes before that I was miserable, and now I was having the time of my life.
Just then, Joe came over to me. I got off my stool and smiled. “Hi, I’m Joe, but I’m guessing you know that,” He informed me, laughing and smiling.
“No, I didn’t know that!” I joked. “I’m Allie,” I told him, holding out my hand, which he shook.
“Listen, do you want to come backstage?” He asked me. I was star struck. I didn’t know what to say.
“Umm…sure!” I replied, not really thinking of the consequences that were coming my way.
