Just Say It's Cool

Here's the thing:
You think it's cool
Just to walk around with your friends
But here's a clue
It don't mean a thing, if you're rude
Playing games is just a way
To be a jerk
So I'll pretend, it doesn't really bother me
When all along it's really eating me up
I'll say it's cool, I don't care
I wish I didn't have to play it smooth
But I'm still holding on for you
To notice me for who I am
Rather than what I look like
I'll be honest, I'm not the prettiest thing on the block
But I don't care, cos love is still a precious thing
And I'm still holding on, cos I know that one day
You'll walk into the room and I'll be glowing like a fire
Having friends pretend to ask me out for you
You should know, I get this on a regular basis
It's nothing new, I know the trick in playing this game
Say it's cool, I know that you're just goofing off
But what you see, isn't how it seems
Cos everyday I get home, I find a new fun way to ease the pain
I'll say its cool, it doesn't really matter
I'll play it smooth, I know what you're trying to say
But I still wish that it really was what it seems
Cos that's the greatest thing of all:
Finding out you really mean a thing
So now I know, I'll go and let you live in peace
You'll never have to see this "horrid" face again
And all you're friends can make fun of me for leaving this world
But you'll feel guilt, cos you knew that it was coming
You just didn't know when
Hope you feel pain, hope you feel shame
Cos it's all you're fault I did this again
It wasn't so bad, when it didn't hurt
But I cut too deep, and all that's left is a life less corpse
On the floor
Just say it's cool, it never really meant anything
I'll say okay, just don't ever do it again
Just say it's cool, and I can live in peace
Instead of in this morgue, where it's colder than you can imagine
You think it's cool
Just to walk around with your friends
But here's a clue
It don't mean a thing, if you're rude
