Chapter 11- O u t s i d e t h e D a n g e r A r e a
---Bridget's POV---
"Listen," I spoke up,"I don't apprecia-"
"Bridget! I need help over in the 20's section!" Myra called out. I let out a grunt as I spun my heel around quickly and walked away from the group.
----- China's POV----
"We wear our scarves just like a noose
But not 'cause we want eternal sleep
And though our parts are slightly used
New ones are slave labor you can keep..."
I sung Regina Spektor quietly to myself as I put away the hockey sticks and golf balls. I seriously needed a new job, this one wasn't working for me. The pay was good though, and I really needed money. I sighed to myself and looked around the room. I was the last one there, and therefore I had to close up shop. I watched as couples brushed by, laughing lightly and enjoying each other. It kind of reminded me of me and my old boyfriend. But that was long gone now, I was single and happy. Well, somewhat happy. I turned around and slid off my referee uniform, wearing nothing my black wife beater and my white shorts. I listened as HorrorPops' "Julia" played inside the store, I swayed and swished a little as i threw my shirt inside my "Locker". Within minutes i was jumping off the benches and dancing like a rock star. I knocked over mannequins, portrayed bats as guitars, and just acted plain crazy. Hey, i need some way to release all the stress! Just as I was about to do an amazing guitar solo, I heard someone cough lightly behind me. I turned around sharply and let out a squeal. Five boys, five cute boys, stood in the doorway staring at me and giggling. I set the bat down and tensed up. My eyes went even wider when i recognized them all. It was Bring Me The Horizon!
"Uhhhh...Uh...Hi" I managed to say. I watched as they all let out a light scoff and approach me closer. Oli walked up to me and gave me a tight squeeze.
"S'been a long time love" He spoke. I let out a strained giggle and nodded rapidly. My body was really confused right now. He unwrapped his arms and introduced me to the rest of his band. They were all very polite to me, and said it was a pleasure meeting me. I wondered if all British boys acted like this. Oli put his arm around me and held me close, I practically pissed my pants.
"I was wondering if we could make up for lost times" He whispered as his friends went off to look around. I looked over at him and began to blush.
"L-like what?" I asked sheepishly. He let out a light laugh.
"Possibly a date?"
My mind screamed in excitement! I wanted to jump up and down and hug him tightly. Instead I gave a light nod. Oli smiled brightly and gave me a peck on the cheek. He looked up at his friends and called out that he was leaving early. I called up one of my fellow workers and asked if they could sub. Once she arrived, I grabbed my coat and we left hand in hand.
--- Tasha's POV---
"Okay where the HELL is she?!" Tegan shrieked as she stomped over to Amy and I.
"What're you talking about?" I asked as I sipped on my frappuchino. Tegan pointed to the second floor.
"China's not in her store! WHY is she not in her store?!"
"How are we supposed to know?" Amy asked as she slipped on her coat. Nadia and Bridget got off the escalator and walked over to us.
"You guys ready?" Bridget asked as she buttoned up her coat.
"No! China's not here!" Tegan pouted.
"Well where is she?" Nadia inquired.
"We don't know!" Amy replied.
"Calm down, just call her cell" Bridget spoke as she adjusted her 20's hat. I whipped out my cellphone and put her on speed dial. The phone rung a few times, but i finally heard a little giggle.
"Hello?"
"China! It's Tasha, where are you?" I asked.
"Oh! Tasha! I..uh, I left early." She replied in a wierd tone.
"Well we can see that, but why? We were going to see a movie" I remarked.
"I'm sorry Tash, I'm...I'm heading home. I'll see one with you guys tomorrow. Gotta go bye!"
I frowned a little once she hung up on me.
"So? What's the verdict?" Tegan asked. I looked up at all of them.
"She's hiding something."
