Chapter 2
I was woken up by my mother yelling at me to get up for school. I looked at the clock and noticed it was only 6:30 am
“You have got to be kidding me” I mumbled. I slowly made my way out of bed. I got dressed in a pair of black skinny jeans and a teal baby doll top. I did my hair into a pony tail and pit on a little but of makeup. I slid on some ballet flats before heading downstairs
“Hurry up Jessica is leaving” my mother said. I walked out the door to see Jessica’s car down the street
“Fucking whore” I said
“Hey Kates. Need a ride?” Ryan asked me as he walked out of his house
“You’re headed to the high school?” I asked
‘Yeah my friend Spencer called and needs a ride since his car died on him. Come on hop in” he said. I nodded and got into the passenger seat of his car.
“Are you excited?” H asked
“About school? Hell no… if those people are like Jessica then my life is going to be a living hell”
“Yeah most of them are. Just stick with Spencer and Brendon and you will be fine. Jut a warning though, Brendon has ADHD so don’t let him freak you our. He can be a little out there at times.” Ryan said
“I think we will get along great. My best friend back home swears I'm ADHD but I have never been tested”
“Oh lord what have I gotten myself into”
“That was mean” I said as I playfully hit him. We pulled into a drive way. There was a slightly chubby boy walking towards the car. The first thing that I noticed was his piercing blue eyes
“Ryan didn’t tell me we had a guest. I'm Spencer” the boy said
“I'm Katie… and yeah my ride decided to be even more of a pain in the ass then she already is”
“Ah so your Ry’s new neighbor. Did you get your schedule yet?”
“No I just got here yesterday”
“Where are you from? Ry told me but I couldn’t understand one word he was saying”
“Cincinnati, Ohio”
“Damn that s a long way from here”
“I know. Its sucks cause I had to leave my best friend and our dance team behind.”
“Tell us about your friend” Ryan said
“Manwhore” Spencer whispered to me while pointing at Ryan which made me laugh
“Well her name is Monica. She is the sweetest person I’ll ever meet. We’ve known each other since we were in pre-school. I don’t know she’s just always been there for me. I can count on her for anything. I actually think… yep this is a picture of us about a week ago. It was my last dance competition” I said as I showed them a picture on my phone
“You guys look hot” Spencer said
“Thanks” I said while laughing
“She is gorgeous” Ryan said
“Yeah I miss her already. We were attached at the hip. It’s so weird being this far away from her”
“That’s what we are here for, to make living here better. You should come to our band practice. I'm sure my granny would love another female there” Spencer said
“Sure sounds like fun” I said
“Well here is your stop. Spin tell Brendon not to be late tonight. I’d like to actually get stuff done for once.” Ryan said
“You know he does it to annoy you right” Spencer said
“Yeah I know. No go or I’ll be late “Ryan said. We got out of the car and headed towards the school
“SPENCER!!!” a dark hair kid with black rimmed glasses yelled as he came running towards us. He had chocolate brown eyes, a bubble butt and a smile to die for.
“Hey Bren” Spencer said
“Holy shit your hot… fuck that was out loud” Brendon said to me
“Thanks you’re pretty hot yourself” I said while blushing
“Bren this is Katie, Ryan’s new neighbor” Spencer said with a smirk on his face
“Well it’s beyond a pleasure to meet you my dear” Brendon said as he reached for my hand and kissed it
“Dude that’s corny” Spencer said
“Was not. Katiebug lets go get your schedule. Hopefully you have me or dimwit here in your classes” Brendon said as he started pulling me toward the office. I could hear Spencer laughing behind us. I just flipped him off while smiling. We got my schedule. I ended up being in all but one class with Brendon. And I had that class with Spencer. Which was weird beings that it was a cooking class. The three of us had homeroom together as well as lunch. The only bad part was that Jessica was also in our homeroom. She sat in front of us. I started throwing tiny pieces of paper at her. By the end of homeroom she had about 10 stuck in her hair. Brendon and Spencer were laughing the entire time.
“Ok kids this is where we part. No sex got it” Spencer said as he left homeroom. I once again started blushing except this time Brendon was as well.
“Spencer doesn’t know what he’s talking about…I mean I don’t…I’m not…I'm a virgin. I wouldn’t…” Brendon said, avoiding eye contact with me.
“Hey it’s nothing to be ashamed of. I'm a virgin too” I said as I stopped in the middle of the hall and took his face in my hands. His smile made my legs feel like jello
“We’ve got to get to class.” He said as he took my hand and laced it with his own before we headed to our next class.
The rest of the day went similar to that. Brendon and I would flirt back and forth all day. Spencer kept giving us odd looks. Brendon seemed to be very affectionate just like I was. He was the one to give me a ride home from school.
“So are you coming to practice tonight?” Brendon asked me as I was about to get out of his car.
“Yeah Ry is going to bring me with him. I’ll see later” I said as I kissed his check while giving him a hug. I hopped out of his purple mini van, which reminded me of a jelly bean, and ran into my house. I went straight to my room and dialed Monica’s number.
“It’s about damn time you called” she said once she answered
“Sorry I got here yesterday and got busy unpacking then went for a walk. I just now got home from an absolutely AMAZING day at school” I said as I fell back on my bed.
“Are you feeling ok?” she asked
“Yeah I feel fine…why?” I said all giddy
“Cause you just said you had an amazing day at school… wait a minute... you met a guy didn’t you” she said
“Three to be exact but only one in that way. Ryan is my neighbor…” I said as I proceeded to tell her everything about Ryan, Spencer and especially Brendon.
“… God Moni he is just so gorgeous. His smile…man I thought my legs were going to give out. My hand fits perfect in his. And he has a bigger ass than I do” I said. I heard laughter coming from my doorway. I looked up to see Ryan standing there trying to hold his laughter in
“Well it sounds like you are really into him. You’ve never fallen for anyone this quick”
“I know. Listen Moni, I’ve got to go. Ryan is here laughing at me so I’ll call you tonight” I said
“Ok. Make sure to send pictures. I wanna see what this guy looks like. Bye love button” she said
“Bye Hunny bunch” I said as I hung up the phone. Ryan busted out laughing hard
“You and Brendon are so going to end up dating” Ryan said
“Why’s that?” I asked
“Because he hasn’t shut up about you since he dropped you off. Which is weird since he is usually really shy around girls. Before you know it we will have little Brendon and Katie’s running around” Ry said. I picked up a pillow and threw it at him. He just laughed some more
“Come on fun size or we will be late”
“Don’t make fun of the vertically challenged. And I’m coming beanstalk” I said as I grabbed my purse. Then we were out the door and on our way.
