A very warm & fuzzy fic. If inspiration makes you add to it, it could be a lot of fun!Author's response
Thank you!
I'd not intended on adding to it, originally, but I'm starting to rethink that. We'll see. Grad school's eating my life, but I might find the time, somewhere. On the Fourteenth of February

For all we know, DrT, he has. Yes, Aelfwine, by all means, please bring in some more of your LiveJournal Nargle culture. I tend to be be more of a H/H[/L] shipper myself, but your Ginny makes sense in a "what if JKR hadn't turned the very notion of a romantic relationship into an unmitigated botch in the last two books and beyond" kind of way and I like reading it.On the Fourteenth of February

great story...but why the hell didnt hermione stay! all four of them would of made a great foursome!Author's response
Thank you very much!
As to why Hermione didn't stay:
a) It's wise to be cautious about adding another person to one's relationship.
b) It's natural to be cautious about becoming romantically involved with an old and dear friend.
c) It's nothing short of terrifying to start a romantic relationship again after having one's heart completely shattered. Doubly so, in Hermione's case, because she'd always thought of Ron as one of her two best friends, and now she's contemplating being involved with her other best friend and his fiancées.
We know that Ron's an idiot and she should have been with Harry and his ladies in the first place, of course, but it's going to take her a while to realise that, and longer to accept it. ;-)On the Fourteenth of February

While you could get away with keeping this as is, it really does scream "Follow-up!"
Very enjoyable, in either case. I've recently been turned off of Ginny for the most part, but she was unassuming enough in this story that she was actually a positive.
Looking forward to more (should you decide to write it).Author's response
Thank you!
I just might write more of it. Somebody elsewhere expressed some disappointment at Hermione not getting a dose of full-bore Harry-and-fiancées comfort, and I started thinking about how things would proceed, and... well, I'm in grad school and can't make any kind of guarantee as to when I might be able to write and post more of anything, but we'll see.

Canon!Ginny bothers me, cos for too much of the time she's either a cipher, annoying, or a jealous little bint. I try to write her as somebody who's grown up and become something more than Harry's reward.
And, of course, in situations like this, Luna's very much in charge, with both Harry and Ginny as her loyal henches. (The lucky little such-and-suches...;-)On the Fourteenth of February

I'd like to see maybe a small scene of breakfast the next morning, where Luna decides, since Hermione seemed to not mind, she wasn't going to wear clothes to breakfast. That would have made for something funny.
