There was a chapter missing. It hopped from Gee being told that Frank and Ray were on their way to Frank and Ray in the comic without any explanation on how they got there.Author's response
Ah yes, that's a Ficwad issue, I think. Did you by any chance use the 'forward' arrows whilst on chapter 9?
I've noticed it's got a tendency to jump over even numbered chapters. The bit you're looking for is in chapter 10, which I suspect you haven't read because it jumped.
Hope it hasn't spoiled it for you.
Sas x
No, I've just checked! Chapter 9 is listed as chapter 10 in the drop down! You can't actually get to it from there!
I'm sorry, but you have to go back to the main chapter listing and go into it from there. What a pain!!!
But to help - here it is: http://www.ficwad.com/story/118112

Hey Sas! I liked the way you wrapped it up because you kept it in the pace of the rest of the story and I still think the story itself was very comic-booky haha.
I don't know if you've read the first Umbrella Academy yet but if you haven't I think you might find some similarities with the pacing and wrap up at the end ... it all happened pretty quick - but not without some casualties.
And of course I liked how you threw in that last line with Hernandez too .... perfect "next series" set up.
xDAuthor's response
Thanks! I'm really glad you liked it, especially as you know MUCH more about this sort of thing than I do! I always worried that it was going to be over the top or not believable, but I guess it's kinda supposed to be - the whole premise is a little unlikely (only a little mind!) ;)
I have read the first Umbrella Academy and that ended shockingly quick! But with this, I knew it was always going to be a long lead up and a quick ending - after all, once he's got everyone ready to die, there wasn't really the opportunity to have a lengthy rescue. I was going for the feeling of a bit of a scramble, so I hope I got it.
Yeah, the last line seemed to fit. I always struggle to end stories and this seemed a good way. Also, I seem to have developed a bit of a habit of leaving stories open lately. It's not intentional, but I've done it a few times. Hey ho!
Thanks for the review, as ever!

Hi there Sas,
I loved the last chapter how Gee broke the hold and just when you thought they were going to get out the Dreamcatcher comes back. I was so hurry up and put the fire out!!!
But the last line was such a classic comic book ending, leaving it wide open for a sequel.
I loved this story.Author's response
Hi Moonshyne!
I'm really pleased you enjoyed it! I was really worried when I found out that the links to Chapter 10 were playing up and that Chapter 11 may make no sense without it. I was hoping that might explain the lack of reviews for this one, but I was worried that it just wasn't very good.
I'm glad you thought it worked though, you and canustakemyheart have cheered me up!
You know, there's a part of me that's thinking that something like this might make a fun plot for a movie the guys could feature in! They should definitely do something like that! :D They're always so good in their videos. (not a cheesy pop star movie tho - a proper serious one)
Thanks again!
