Well, that was a good, attention-grabbing start. I rather agree with Cocoa_girl that a coatl, a winged snake, would be an excellent animagus form for Harry and would fit him well; failing that, something both winged (to fit with his flying ability) and reptilian (to go with his parsel abilities) would fit (not necessarily a dragon, but there may be other winged reptiles that'd fit). Whatever Daphne's form is, I'd hope it would reflect her coloring and nature (I'm thinking some solitary hunter, most likely a large feline).
It should be interesting to see how matters proceed from here.Secrets of the Chamber

Oh, it doesn't hurt that Harry now has a friendly advisor in that second basilisk; though I suspect Daphne may take a while to grow comfortable with it.Secrets of the Chamber

very nice and interesting start ^^
definitely waiting for more^^
for the animagi shapes i really have no preference or idea right now but please dont make it a too powerfull one ... an advantage it should be but dont overpower it in the end most stories have to deal with a way to powerful harry and end up beeing quite boring ... which would be a shame after this awesome beginning ^^

I'm going to agree with cocoa girl. Harry already has basilisk venom and phoenix tears running through his veins, So a magical form isn't that hard for him to pull off. With his love for flying and the ablity to speak parsle, one would think a form of a flying animal or snake... Or even better both. good luck and very nice start.. PantherSecrets of the Chamber

For Harry's form a Thestral might be good. Sort of invisible. Mostly to his friends but not so to most of his enemies. Can fly and has a generally bad reputation. And not a snake.
For Daphne a small grass snake.
Where's Ron/Hermione? I don't really care for stories where Harry is Uber-Powerful. Any great power really should have a not insignificant downside to keep it interesting. And rather than having him turn into a super genius learning new tricks consider him finding artifact that grants him somekind of power (without him being aware of all that it does). Harry has always struck me as kind of dumb but powerful.

Interesting start though Daphne seems a little to trusting/nice? for a Slytherin.
For Harry consider a thestral. Can fly. Invisible to most his friends but not most of his enemies. And not a snake. In fact more reminiscent of a deer.
For Daphne a small grass snake.
No Ron/Hermione/Others?
I don't particularly care for stories where Harry is Uber-Powerful. Any great power really should have a not insignificant downside to keep things interesting.
Also instead of Harry being a super genius learning new skills consider him finding artifacts that grant him power(without him knowing all that they do).

I like what you have so far.
I'm a sucker for H/Slytherin stories.
I do think that the bonding with the Basilisk and the venom//tears in his blood might be enough magically to push his form over that boundary, but I don't think it's necessary, either.
No matter if his form is magical or not, it's all in how you play it.
