Walking along the seafront, Jenn looked back at Dirty and Pete who were trailing behind her, sniggering and whispering about god knows what. She rolled her eyes and kept walking, making a mental note to slap Pete around the face if he even thought about telling Dirty where they were really going. Arriving at the building, she looked round and waited for the two, groaning as they slowly walked up to her.

“You’re like children, you know that?” Pete sniggered and pushed her through the door, watching as Dirty walked in behind them. The office genuinely did just look like a blood band, and Jenn thanked all forces that the office didn’t look like a DNA testing area. She half expected there to be a huge sign outside saying ‘Come and find out if Dirty is your twin brother that you got separated from at birth’. She had phoned earlier in the day, explaining the situation about Dirty not knowing about the procedure, and the woman on the other end was very accepting about it. She also expected that to be a problem; she wondered if the woman thought she was a crazed psycho or something.

“Where are all the hot nurses?” Dirty yelled, and Jenn spun around, widening her eyes and shushing him.

Dirty,” She hissed, and apologized to the receptionist before smiling.

“I phoned earlier, about the-” She lowered her head and whispered. “DNA test,” The receptionist nodded, and turned to the two men behind her.

“Which one-” Jenn smirked.

“The idiotic looking one,” She mumbled, and the receptionist laughed before yelling over to Dirty.

“You’re here to give blood?” She asked, and Dirty nodded eagerly, fixing his eyes to her chest. Jenn rolled her eyes and watched as Dirty followed the receptionist, disappearing into a room to their left. Pete smiled at her and joined her, waiting for someone to take Jenn away too.

“Do you think he’ll suspect anything?” Pete asked, and Jenn raised her eyebrows. Pete sniggered. “Yeah okay I just heard it, I don’t even know why I bothered asking that,” Jenn laughed and turned to the desk.

“I just hope he isn’t angry if... You know,” Pete nodded.

“I’m sure he would be thrilled to have you as a sister. Plus he would never feel bad about pranking you, because you’re both blood related.” Jenn smiled.

“And I won’t feel bad about kicking his ass if he does.” Pete laughed. The receptionist returned in front of them, and smiled at Jenn.

“If you would like to follow me, I’ll take you to give your blood.” Jenn nodded, throwing a look to Pete before following her out of the room. She went inside the little room and looked at the person sat in front of her with a tray of needles and wipes in front of them. She sat in the chair and waited for the doctor, or nurse, or whatever the hell he was, to get on with the process. He smiled at her and motioned for her to lift her sleeve, and as she did so, he checked for veins in her forearm.

“Now, after this is done, we should get the results to you as soon as possible, but it may take a while, we have to sort all the legal stuff if you and Mr. Miller are related.” Jenn nodded slowly, and winced as the syringe went into her arm. Soon enough it was over, and she thanked the doctor-nurse-man before leaving. Stepping outside she saw that Dirty was still not out of his little room, and noticed Pete in the corner, talking to the receptionist from earlier.
“I’ve never met anyone with that many tattoos before,” She giggled, and Pete smirked proudly.

“Yeah, I have a few. There’s one right here,” He lifted his top to show the one on his abdomen. “This one is my favorite,” He smirked, and the receptionist bit her lip.

“I bet...” Pete smirked cockily, pursing his lips slightly.

“Well if you ever want to see it up close-” He turned around as a cough came from behind him, and looked a little uncomfortable as Jenn stood behind him, tapping her foot.

“Sorry to interrupt,” She spat, and Pete smiled nervously.

“You weren’t interrupting anything,” He smiled, and the receptionist smiled too, Jenn glaring at her slightly.

“Oh, I really think I was.” She pulled Pete by the wrist to the front door, hissing at him. “Aren’t you supposed to be dating my best friend?” She mumbled, and Pete shrugged.

“I guess but, I was only talking,” Jenn squinted her eyes and shook her head.

“You were flirting shamelessly Pete.” She crossed her arms and huffed. “I swear to god you hurt Izzy and I’m going to rearrange your face,” Pete widened his eyes but smirked as Dirty came out looking very ill. Jenn turned around just in time to have him collapse on top of her, using her shoulders as support as he pulled himself up.

“Jenn! Oh god, it was horrible! They took the blood, it was like, red, and Jenn it was so red.” He blinked up at her and groaned. “Oh god Jenn I’m dying,” Jenn rolled her eyes and pulled him up, Pete laughing at Dirty’s pale face. The doctor rolled his eyes too and looked back to Jenn.

“He’ll be fine, he just felt a little queasy after the blood was drawn, that’s all. Just give him something with sugar in, he’ll be right as rain in about half an hour,” Jenn nodded, and Dirty glared at the doctor.

“I was not ‘a little queasy’, thank you. Jenn I’m dying!” He whined, and Jenn slapped him in the head.

“You’re not dying Dirty, you’re just a drama queen.” She looked back to Pete and smirked. “Don’t start being like Pete, please,” Pete looked offended and Dirty smirked. Jenn placed an evil smile on her face and looked at Pete, wanting to make him pay for flirting with that receptionist. She whispered in Dirty’s ear, and Dirty smirked, proceeding to slap Pete around the face.

“You’re right, that did make me feel better,”

With most of the beach house quiet, Ali decided it was the perfect time to catch up on her sketching and moved to the porch to simultaneously catch some sun so that she could have a tan going into winter. She found herself rolling her eyes a few moments later as the front door creaked open, but glanced up nonetheless to greet Patrick, a much panicked expression on his face. Ali very quickly became nervous of his presence and paused in her movements, scooting slightly as Patrick sat next to her.

“H-hey,” he mumbled, turning to look at her. Ali smiled lightly and the two sat in silence for a while, looking out at the coastline and the sun that was slowly starting to disappear. Ali looked back at Patrick and he let out a deep sigh as he realized she was staring at him.

“Patrick,” she called and he shrugged slightly, glancing over at her.

“I’m sorry for…” he trailed off and Ali nodded, blinking slowly before turning her head back to the ocean. “Anyways,” he muttered. Ali looked at him from the corner of her eye and watched as he twiddled his thumbs.

“What?” she beckoned. Patrick smiled softly.

“I know that I kind of already messed up, but,” he skewed his mouth to one side and waited for Ali to face him before continuing. “Uh, well, Weed, GG, Joshley are going out on dates tonight,”

Ali blinked once, confused before creasing her eyebrows together.

“Weed?” she paused. “GG? Joshley?” she questioned. Patrick laughed uneasily before nodding.

“Sorry, I kind of came up with an easier way to name off the couples…” he glanced around in thought. “Izzy and Pete’s last name comes out to be Weed,” he explained. Ali laughed lightly.

“I’m assuming now that GG is Gabe and Grace, right?”

“Yeah,” Patrick nodded and smirked. “And Joshley is Joe and Ashley,” he paused again before shifting uncomfortably. “Anyways, uhm, well, they are going on dates...so, I was thinking maybe we should too,” Patrick said softly. Ali shot her eyebrows up and gripped her sketchbook tightly.

“A date?” she yelped. Patrick nodded.

“Well…yeah,”

Ali took a deep breath in and suddenly felt saddened as she stared at Patrick, his eager expression slowly changing to disappointment. He looked down at his lap and Ali breathed out, closing her eyes.

“I’m sorry too Patrick,” she mumbled, looking at him again as his head snapped up.

“Huh?”

“I…” Ali gulped down her nerves and stood up quickly. “I wish you would have done this earlier,” she finished. Patrick stood up too, but found Ali walking around him.

“What?” he asked. Ali shook her head and wrapped her hand around the door handle.

“Trav-”

“I get it,” Patrick cut off and sat back down, at a loss for words. He flinched slightly as the door closed behind him and covered his face with his hands, disappointed in himself for being too late. Patrick had just lost the girl and had no idea how to get her back.

Izzy was fairly excited when Pete mentioned taking her out on a date, but found herself disappointed when he admitted he didn’t really have anything planned and just wanted to walk around the boardwalk. She was even more irritated upon learning about what happened at the blood bank and was still waiting for Pete to be honest with her and admit to her what she had heard from Jenn. Pete stood leaning over the railing of the boardwalk, his eyes fixed on the dark waters of the ocean crashing into the pier below while Izzy leaned against the railing, looking the other way at a happier looking couple sharing a cotton candy.

“Pete,” she whispered. Pete grunted at her and shifted himself so that he was leaning even more over the edge. Izzy rolled her eyes and turned herself around as well, resting her elbows on the railing and placing her chin in her hands. “Is this what we are going to do all night?” she asked. Pete looked at her for a moment and shrugged.

“I don’t know,” he mumbled. Izzy rolled her eyes and let a loud sigh go.

“So… how was the blood bank today?”

“Ok, I guess,” Pete shrugged and turned to Izzy finally, smiling in thought. “Actually, it was fun,” Izzy offered a flat smile and crossed her arms.

“How was it fun?” she questioned. Pete raised an eyebrow and leaned against the railing lazily.

“It just was,” he mumbled. Izzy nodded solemnly but then glared at him, making him flinch slightly. “What?”

“Jenn told me that you were hitting on another nurse,” she spoke. Pete let his eyes widen in slight fear but brushed it off by offering a smile.

“Well, honestly, yeah,” he gulped as Izzy glared even more. “I was…” he meekly said. Izzy shook her head at him and whipped around and began to walk further down the pier. “Izzy!” Pete shouted after her and ran to catch up, bursting in front of her so he could stop her.

“Pete, I’m so mad at you I could…” Izzy trailed off and Pete laughed lightly, making her frown even more.

“What? What could you do?” he teased. Izzy raised an eyebrow before slyly wrapping her arms around his shoulders, no doubt confusing Pete. He pulled away from her hug to steal a kiss and Izzy took the liberty to duck and knock her arm under his knees, picking him up bridal style.

“Upsi-daisies!” Izzy shouted, laughing as Pete screamed out.

“HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS!?!” he yelled and Izzy shook her head before knocking him against the railing and in one quick movement, dropped him over the edge into the ocean. Izzy held her lip in her mouth as she stifled a laugh but burst out as she heard the splash followed by loud cursing. Leaning over the edge, she saw Pete struggling to get his hair out of his eyes and float at the same time. He looked up at her as he waved his arms around him.

“Izzy! You’re lucky I find you incredibly sexy, or else I wouldn’t take this lightly!” Izzy just giggled and leaned over more to see her boyfriend struggling even more.

“Sorry, Pete, but you kind of deserved it!” she shouted back. Pete just shook his head and looked around.

“Well, fine. But if you want me to have sex with you ever again you’ll jump in as well,” Izzy stood up at his remark and rolled her eyes to herself before looking back down at an expectant looking Pete.

“I hate you!” she joked and shook her head in amazement of her actions as she moved herself over the railing and after a moments thought, she jumped in, albeit screaming as she hit the somewhat cold of the ocean. When she surfaced, she was faced by Pete who seemed overjoyed by her act.

“You don’t hate me,” he spoke, wrapping his arms around her waist as he kicked to keep himself afloat.

“Why do you say that?” Izzy asked, pushing her wet hair from her face. Pete simply just kissed her nose.

“If you hated me, you wouldn’t of taken the liberty of throwing me into the ocean,” he paused. “Jealousy is a form of love,” he joked. Izzy rolled her eyes and just continued to let Pete keep them afloat in the water. Though, she couldn’t help but take what he had just said to heart. Why would he hit on other girls but then mention love?

Gabe had officially become the #1 spot in Grace’s brownie point list as soon as he presented her with flowers and her favorite chocolate. Considering they were staying the same room at the beech house, it was hard for him to hide the belongings until their date, and Grace found them in the empty dresser drawer. Gabe seemed disappointed in himself but Grace had reassured him that he was doing just fine for the first time in a long time.

“Where are we going?” Grace asked. Gabe reached over and linked their hands together as they walked away from the beach house and towards the pier.

“Well,” Gabe started. “Being that this is kind of our first date in a long time, we could start with something innocent,” Grace nodded at him and pointed over at the amusement park that was brightly lit up.

“It’s no Coney Island, but…” she trailed off and Gabe smiled brightly as he looked over at it.

“It’s perfect,” he mentioned. Grace grinned as well and tightened her grip on his hand as they continued walking. A short walk later and with a purchase of tickets, the two went juvenile on the grounds, winning many rounds of carnival games, Gabe more than likely earning more brownie points with each stuffed animal that he won. As the night dwindled on and the park started to close down, the two opted for one last ride on the Ferris wheel. Sitting on the bench, Grace smiled to herself as Gabe moved his arm around her shoulders and she closed her eyes peacefully as she leaned her head into the crook of his shoulder.

“I’m going to be honest with you, Grace,” he started. Grace nodded slightly and Gabe sighed slightly. “Back in high school, I was thoroughly convinced that you were the one,”

Grace let her eyes shot open at his remark, a little taken back by his bluntness. She relaxed a little bit as he rubbed his hand against her arm and blinked slowly.

“Really?” she prompted. Gabe hummed in agreement.

“I told my mom that I wanted to marry you,” as he paused Grace pulled away from him and looked at his expression, finding her heart beat picking up when she realized he was being serious.

“Gabe-”

“Sorry, I just…” Gabe skewed his mouth to the side and shrugged to himself. “I thought you deserved to know that I loved you then as much as I do now,”
Grace sighed out and nodded, offering a bright smile before kissing him softly. Gabe’s confession to her had jump started her brain back in time to when the two were in high school and like today, were very much in love. Though, Grace couldn’t help but be freaked out by the thought of marriage. She wanted their relationship to go somewhat slow. After all, if things didn’t work out then, who’s to say they would now?

Andy and Jenn walked along the beach, smirking as Dirty ran up to the edge of the sea, screaming slightly when a wave approached, and he ran back up the beach. Repeating the process, Jenn and Andy got bored of watching him run to and from the sea and sat, Jenn smiling as she pulled her shoes off and wiggled her toes into the sand. Andy did the same and looked out to the sea, watching as sunset began to start, and the horizon got darker and darker. He looked to Jenn, and then looked over at Dirty.

“When are you going to tell him what’s going on?” He asked, and Jenn sighed.

“I’m not sure, I think I’m going to wait to find out if we are related, that way if we’re not, he hasn’t been put through anything,” Andy nodded, watching as Dirty ran up to them smiling.

“I’m going for a swim,” He announced, and Jenn and Andy widened their eyes, looking back out to the sea.

“But it’s freezing out here Dirty, it’s going to be even worse out there you know,” Andy sat agape at him, and Dirty smirked.

“But if I don’t do it, I’ll regret not doing it,” He laughed and proceeded to strip down to his boxers, making Jenn groan.

“Dirty, really not something I needed to see,” She mumbled, and Dirty shrugged before running towards the sea, taking a leap in and hitting a wave on the way in. Andy laughed, watching as he swam further out, turning back to Jenn.

“He’s like a child,” He said, and Jenn laughed.

“That is a good thing though Andy. He can be mature when he wants to be, so it’s fine,” Andy smiled.

“Yeah, when he wants to be. Not very often,” Jenn giggled.

“You know, it’s going to be so weird if you guys actually are, twin brother and sister,” Jenn sighed as Andy said this, and he grinned, placing an arm around her shoulders.

“Don’t worry, we’re all here to help you through if you are related, we know how horrible it will be,” He laughed, making Jenn giggle, and she tilted her head.

“It would mean I could prank him without feeling bad, just like Pete said in the DNA office earlier. Although he did say it would be Dirty doing the pranking,” Andy nodded.

“Yeah, don’t try and prank Dirty. He always gets you back, worse.” Jenn laughed.

“If he got me back I would totally rip up that teddy bear that he thinks no-one knows about,”

“He would have no hesitation in literally shooting you if you did that,” Jenn smirked, turning back to look at Dirty in the sea. He waved slightly before turning to swim again, his face a dot in the ocean. Soon enough he came swimming back, and waved again before shouting from his position in the ocean.

“It’s a bit chilly!” He yelled, and Jenn and Andy laughed as he came back in. As he ran up the beach, he began to shiver, Jenn throwing his clothes at him as he walked up to them.

“Fuck that’s cold,” He muttered, rubbing his arms. Jenn raised an eyebrow.

“Told you so,” She smiled. “Put those on otherwise you’ll freeze to death.” Shivering, Dirty threw his clothes on, sighing as they walked back along the beach.

“Jenn I’m fucking cold,” He muttered, and Andy laughed, poking him in the arm.

“We told you not to go in the sea, Dirty,” Dirty nodded.

“I know but I needed to do it, otherwise I would’ve regretted not doing it,” Jenn nodded.

“We know, we just need to get you somewhere warm,” Walking along the seafront, Dirty shivered again and Jenn rolled her eyes.

“Dirty are you really that cold?” She asked, and Dirty nodded, a puppy dog face plastered to his features.

“I need to change out of these boxers, they’re making me cold,” Jenn widened her eyes.

“But there isn’t anywhere to change around here,” She mumbled, and Dirty nodded.

“Just, both of you stand with your back to me, and shield me from passers by,” Jenn widened her eyes and glared slightly.

“Wha- no! Dirty, just, no,” Andy laughed, and watched as Dirty shrugged and proceeded to undress nonetheless. Jenn shrieked and turned her back on him, Andy copying, to stop strangers from seeing Dirty’s parts. He sighed when he had finished, and shuddered again, showing that the public dress change wasn’t really much help.

“Oh I thank all that is holy that I turned in time,” Jenn muttered, and Dirty smiled.

“But I’m going to warm up now,” He shivered once more and frowned. “Hopefully,” Andy smiled, and pointed to a shop down the street, selling surf wear.

“Let’s go there. Dirty can get some new boxers,” Dirty smiled happily, running ahead to get into the warmth of the shop. Andy motioned to his hair and tapped Jenn on the shoulder.

“Do you think he realizes he has seaweed in his hair?” He asked, and Jenn shrugged.

“Probably not. But there’s no need to tell him yet,”
